Introducing The New High Line Art Show, Panorama
Panorama is an open-air exhibition at the High Line. The urban park which practically cuts straight through the city, creates new vistas and vantage points onto the surrounding natural and man-made landscapes. The High Line is the ideal stage for this new year-long series of sculptures and installations, all of which explore the act of seeing and understanding the spectacle of nature.

An Only-In-New-York Type Of Art Show
RAE (aka RAE BK) is a street artist, painter and sculptor who was born and raised Brooklyn, New York. His murals, paste-ups and 3-dimensional found-object sculptures can be found on city streets worldwide. His pop-up solo exhibition entitled “TRUNK WORK” invites visitors to go back in time and bare witness his triumphs of some rather strange occurrences to reclaim his lost painting and sculptures.
A Foodie’s Guide To The Best NYC Food Events in April
Mmm..Bacon. (and beer, and Bloody Mary's, and Fried Chicken, and all other sorts of delicious treats!) As the warm weather rolls around, so do NYC's awesome food festivals. To make your job easier, we listed the best ones happening this month. Which means all you need to do is read the list, show up with an appetite and do what everyone loves best - eat!
Make Time For The 2015 Triennial: Surround Audience, at The New Museum
The New Museum's Triennial is the only recurring international exhibition in New York City devoted to early-career artists from around the world. Featuring fifty-one artists from over twenty-five countries, The building-wide exhibition encompasses a variety of artistic practices, including sound, dance, comedy, poetry, installation, sculpture, painting, video, one online talk show, and an ad campaign. We recently visited (twice!) and found new, fun and interesting things each time. Totally worth a trip, especially on one of these rainy Spring days.
Flowers, Eggs & Parades: Fun Easter Ideas and Events in NYC
Next weekend is Easter already! A holiday which is a great excuse to celebrate spring, wear lots of florals, get together with family, microwave some peeps, and eat a ton of chocolate. For kids, though, Easter is all about the egg hunt (although the Faberge Big Egg Hunt is fun for adults too). If you're looking to supplement or replace your home hunt with something a bit more festival-like, here's a quick look at several options around town. Keep in mind, these types of events are always crowded!
Treat Yourself To Some Personal Spring Cleaning at Spa Castle Premier 57
After months of anticipation, Manhattan finally gets its first Spa Castle location: Spa Castle Premier 57, a just-now-open, Midtown retreat sprawled over three enormous floors of the Galleria Building on 57th St. Here's what you need to know about the fancier, luxe-er version of the Queens mothership.
Kehinde Wiley: A New Republic, Now At The Brooklyn Museum
Kehinde Wiley’s retrospective at the Brooklyn Museum is New York’s must-see art show of the spring. I saw it opening weekend; every weekend since then, social media feeds have been full of friends choosing different Wiley paintings to Instagram or tweet. If Wiley's work looks familiar, perhaps you caught it back in 2011, when his paintings were featured on top of 500 New York City taxi cabs while some may recognize his works which adorn the Lyon’s family mantelpieces in the hit show Empire.
The Original “Mad Man” Paul Rand At The Museum of The City of New York
Who’s excited for Mad Man to return?! *RAISES HAND* We are! To prep for the series finale the Museum of The City of New York recently opened an exhibit by the original ‘Mad Man’. Everything Is Design: The Work of Paul Rand features more than 150 advertisements, posters, corporate brochures, and books by this master of American design. Born in Brooklyn in humble circumstances, Rand (1914-1996) launched his career in the 1930s with magazine cover design and, starting in the early 1940s, he worked as an art director on Madison Avenue, where he helped revolutionize the advertising profession.
A Terrific, Career-Spanning Isamu Noguchi Show At Pace In Chelsea
You know his paper lanterns on sight. You'd recognize his signature coffee table anywhere (and frequent the satirical blog named for it). But did you know Isamu Noguchi is also responsible for some stunning sculptures, ceramics, and even parks and public plazas? If you want to know more about the Japanese American designer and artist, this is the way to do it: Isamu Noguchi: Variations at Pace Gallery in New York.
